Dear Sir,
1. On the onset congratulations for starting Vistara - a long overdue step by Tatas.

2. You have introduced MILITARY class. may I ask if it is a concession or a separate class ?

3. As I understand its a concession on normal ticket available for the day and is a gesture towards the military personnel. However, form your website it seems that you are giving this concessions just for the publicity sake or else how  MILITARY class ticket is almost twice the cost of normal ticket for Pune-Delhi sector on 16 April and Delhi-Mumbai sector on 17 April (Screen shot attached)

4. Your airline also  has joined Air India in fooling military personnel where you always find Military ticket costlier than the normal ticket available for the day. It is presumably because AI gives military concession on full economy ticket. Thats absurd in times of present ticketing system.

5. Only INDIGO is truthful in providing the military concession in true sense. The military ticket is always cheaper than the cheapest ticket for the day on that sector. They provide concession on the lowest price for the day on a sector.

6. You either give concessions on the lines of INDIGO in a transparent manner or else totally withdraw the concession.

7. Please remember, Tata Code of Conduct does not allow misleading the customer.

With regards to your email, we offer armed forces discount on our normal economy class ticket in line with the industry standards. However, certain promotional fares which are introduced from time to time do not come with the additional discount. We request you to buy a normal ticket in case the same is lower, also the current armed forces discount gives more flexible fare conditions.

1. The prompt reply is much appreciated.

2. *I don't know what is the industry standards*. Even if there is one it is from the time when there were no system of promotional fares. There was single/fixed point to point fare system. Providing a concession on full economy fare had some logic.

3. However, since the airlines have moved to promotional fare system carrying on with the old system of military concession on full fare is not Ethical. *After all what was the aim of Military concession*? The _*aim was to give some extra relief to the persons from Armed Forces as compared to other citizens of the country.*_

4. Present *military concession system by your company is deceptive.* A military personnel while booking his ticket is lead to thinking that its a concessional ticket. More over while booking, the military class ticket shows only one fare on the website and does not show other promotional fares. Most of them will  not imagine that the promotional fare may be lower than *the military fare on that day, hence they will be tricked in to buying costlier tickets when the lower tickets are available.*

5. In case your company cant provide concessions on promotional fares, then *I as a military personnel would object to use of military concessions button on your web site or ticketing system. It would be better if you withdraw the present concession system altogether.*

6. I hope *Tata having set high standards of Ethics around the world gives due importance to word MILITARY and unintentionally don't con them.*

Greetings from Vistara!!

With regards to your mail, we offer armed forces discount on normal fare with more flexibility where other fares are dynamic and comes with restrictions.

However, *lower fare are already discounted and with restriction, hence additional discounts cannot be offered on the same.*

Further, a more flexible fare normally available at full price to the customer is made available for 50% discount for armed forces personals.

1. I think I have not been able to put across my point.

2. In short, *please compare the Military concessions by INDIGO and JET Air and see why should some one chose VISTARA military concession in their place.*

3. Any way I was trying to drive home some sensibility. If it is not acceptable to VISTARA. Its OK. *We will continue using Jet and Indigo.*
